Liebster Award

Hi lovelies!

This is probably one of my favourite posts I've done, I've done this once before and I really enjoyed meeting new bloggers and reading their posts and i'm so happy I got nominated by the lovely Jennie! Thanks Jennie! (Check out her lovely blog here). For anyone that doesn't know what the Liebster award is, its an award that connects bloggers with 200 followers or less on their blog and gives them an opportunity to meet and chat to other bloggers!

Check out my questions and nominations below,

What's the best thing you love about blogging?
I love everything about blogging from the shopping of the products to finally uploading, but the best thing would be for me is meeting new bloggers and sharing our ideas and generally chatting. I love finding new bloggers and ive made a lot of new friends through blogging!

What's your favourite type of blog to read?
That's a hard question, id have to say reviews on products. I like to hear what people have to say about different products and their opinions of them, it really helps me decide on whether ill buy them or not.

You are stranded on a dessert island and your only allowed to get on YouTube tutorials or blog posts... which do you choose?
This is a hard question aswell! I love watching YouTube videos but I think that im more connected in the blogger world and I think id definitely get more out of blogging :)

If you could use one or the other, which would it be out of eye shadow or lipstick?
Although I love eye shadow I would say lipstick, ive got a little obsession with lipstick and I think even on a bad day or when your not feeling to good a little bit of lipstick makes you feel a lot better!

Where is the place you would like to visit the most?
Id love to travel but I think at the minute it would either be New York or LA, id definitely love to visit New York for Christmas or a lovely winter holiday and LA for a lovely sunny girly holiday!

How do you get your motivation to blog?
I really get my motivation from reading other peoples posts and going on twitter! I think that when I see other amazing blog posts it really inspires me to read and write more posts!

If you could have any celebrity best friend in the whole world, who would it be?
This is an easy one! Kim Kardashian! Some people seem to have a problem with her but I totally love her! Her fashion and beauty is on point and shes just amazing! :P

Who are your favourite bloggers and why?
Oh ive got so many! Carli Bybel is always amazing and has some great makeup posts, I also love Tiffany D, shes so pretty and always doesn't always do fashion and beauty she also does interior which I love!

Boots or Superdrug?
Superdrug! Its like my second home. I really like Boots because you can buy things you wouldn't find in Superdrug but I get most of my things from there just because its cheaper and I prefer the reward system!

How much do you spend per month on blog related products?
This really depends on new products that are out in the month, for example I have spend more on January's products because I brought the naked 3 palette (view post here) and a new Maybelline foundation (click here to see post)

What was/ is your favourite subject at school and why?
Looking back I loved school but at the time I really hated it and couldn't wait to leave! My favourite subject at school was probably when I went to do my GCSE's I did a course along side them at school for fashion and textiles and I loved it, it made me realise that I wanted to carry on doing fashion!

I hope you enjoyed my answers and here are my nominations and questions!

Questions:

1) What is your must have beauty product?
2) Do you prefer fashion or makeup?
3) What's your favourite thing about blogging?

6) What are your favourite hobbies?

Living in London..

So the past few months have been so busy and eventful I'm going to try and explain everything so it might take a while! I've always wanted to live in London because for me, London is the most exciting and best cities in the world. After deciding to study fashion at university in London I was all ready and excited to move into the city with 2 friends. With me being an optimist I didn't really think about anything going wrong, but because I was so caught up in moving out of my family home and being independent it totally washed over me that things we're going to go wrong.
When moving all of mine and my friends stuff into the flat we rented for 6 months we walked in to find out that we actually had to move out all the previous tenants things: furniture, clothes, everything! Safe to say it wasn't a great start and we actually didn't unpack our stuff until the 3rd day of us living there but not before something else went wrong.
After finding out the flat was a lot less than presentable we had to move back to Birmingham (my home town) for the landlord to clear everything out and get it all right again! So after a lot of hassle and commotion with the landlord, lets just say he isn't the nicest of people and if anyone had ever rented you may know that they aren't really there to be nice to you!
Just as me and my friends think that it's all over, we go back to the flat, finally get settled after 3 weeks, my life in London wasn't actually going to be that easy. Being students in London isn't that easy, with no money we wouldn't have the internet installed which obviously meant I couldn't blog! :(

I started university and all wasn't that great. The course wasn't really what I thought it was going to be and wasn't really enjoying the education while I wasn't even getting my student loan. Safe to say I wasn't really enjoying London, don't get me wrong I absolutely love London and I will eventually move back, maybe later this year or next year, who knows, but I know that London is the place for me to live but education just isn't for me so I'm back in Birmingham for the meanwhile until I can save enough money and it's the right time for me to move back down to London!

While I did have a pretty rough time in London I did get out and enjoy the sights and lived the London lifestyle! :)

So I'm back to blogging about makeup, beauty, fashion and my life so I'll keep you posted when I'll be posting again! Hope you all enjoy this post and I'm sorry about my lack in spots but hopefully this explains everything! :) x

Body gossip needs you!

Hi guys I hope your all having a great week!

Now I know I'm not the only person that suffers from body confidence issues and that nobody is 100% happy with their body so we all do whatever we can to try and feel great, whether its exercise, eat healthy or dietary supplements but in the meantime you have to feel comfortable in your own skin in order to be happy, so I've recently been in contact with body gossip, a brand that have started their own theatre company with 5 different actors putting on a show including interviews and real life body stories from different people and are then hoping to take it across the UK over the next year!

They are a voluntary company that are raising money to try and get their company and theatre show up and running and they are selling the coolest t-shirts ever! They are super vibrant and have different inspirational quotes and messages to get you going and making you feel good about yourself!

You can check out the website that offers different t-shirts and even babygrows! They come in different colours, sizes and fonts and I really can't wait to buy mine!

T-shirts at £20

Babygrows at £12.50

Not only have the public supported this great brand but celebrities have also joined and backed the project with these great pictures and promotions and check out a video of a few of the celebs that have gotten involved! http://youtu.be/fjp_BO-BUoY

    Suranne Jones and Zaraah Abrahams

I cant wait to order mine! You can find more cool designs at:

I hope you all order t-shirts and come and support this great project!

Another nomination!

Hiya everyone!

I woke up this morning to find I've been nominated for another Liebster award! I'm so happy that people are actually reading my blog and liking my posts! I'm always a bit worried and conscious that people aren't liking my blog and that I'm just writing to myself which I suppose is every bloggers worry when you first get started!

My nomination came from the lovey Amie over at http://fashionisourreligion-x.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1. If you haven't already then check out her blog, it's really great to read if you love anything fashion related! You can also follow her on twitter at @Fashion_IOR.

As I've already been nominated for this award before and have already nominated 11 other bloggers, I'm just going to answer the questions as best as I can so you can get to know me a little better as a blogger! :)

Questions asked by fashion is our religion

1. Who is your favourite designer?
Wow that's a hard question, as a fashion student I have far too many but I'd say just for their designs and just for being amazing creativity I'd have to say either Alexander McQueen or Oscar de la Renta.

2. If you could go back to a certain time period, what would you choose and why?
For me it would probably be the 1960's. I love the fact that everything changed and you could be who you wanted to be in terms of fashion, jobs and music! It looked like a lot of fun!

3. What career goals do you have?
That's a hard question, I'm studying fashion buying and retailing at university but I would like to have my own fashion range and makeup line across the UK at some point.

4. What is your favourite wardrobe staple?
I don't think you can go wrong with a simple black blazer. You can wear it over most things in the day for a casual look and even over a dress when your goon out with friends on the night! Perfect.

5. Heels or flats?
As much as I love and stare at Louboutins all day everyday, I'd have to say flats just for the sheer practicality of them but I do love a good heel!

6. Do you prefer fast fashion or saving up for an investment piece?
I'd love to say that I'd save up for a piece but I know that it's not true! I'm very quick with money and I can buy anything I want on impulse just to never wear it, I'm terrible for shopping!

7. What is your favourite all time catwalk show?
This for me is a very hard question! I've watches and studied so many shows but it could well maybe Alexander McQueen A/W10 where Sarah burton took over as creative director. Nobody really knew what to expect from her but she totally raised the bar and the collection was everything and more critics thought it would be! Amazing!

8. What would you say your personal style is?
I wouldn't say I'd have a personal style, for me it all depends on what mood I'm in for that day, I could wake up and feel like wearing a dress and flats or I could be in a denim shorts and a beanie mood!

9. What are your favourite topics to blog about?
At the minute my favourite topic to blog about would be makeup. I have a bit of an obsession at the moment with makeup so I tend to blog about what I like and how I use certain products but I would like to start blogging about fashion.

10. What are your fashion pet peeves?
My fashion pet peeves tend to be the way people dress on holiday. I think that the world shuts out any fashion rules and anything seems to go. My worst would have to be the dreaded socks and samples or simply crocs! For me they are the worst!

11. What would you like your blog to achieve in the next 12 months?
I would love to continue to blog this time next year with a wider audience, attend a few blogger events and get to interact with more bloggers and get to talk to people with the same interests as me! :)

I hope you all liked this post, sorry that I'm not nominating any bloggers this time, but if you would like to see who I nominated last time for the Liebster award then you can check my other post on my home page! :)

Furry nails!

Hello guys and gals!

Sorry I've been a little delayed on posts recently I've been a bit busy trying to sort out a future project I'm planning in the next few months! Ill be sharing with you what I'm planning very soon! :)

I thought I'd just try and get up to date with a quick nail post!
So may not know but I'm a very big nail polish fan! Last time I counted I had we'll over 60 different polishes! I love all the copies and brands and to experience with different nail arts! So I was so excited when a few months ago MUA Academy launched a new product called fur-effect nails!
I immediately when out and brought them and I'm actually surprised at myself that I haven't done this post sooner!

Left to right: fluffy bobbin, fuzzy fluff

I brought two pots in different colours so I could try different things with them! I thought they were so cute when I first brought them and I knew I'd have fun trying them out! They are both super furry which I didn't think they would be and it's actual fur!

I thought I'd try the pink one out first and I loved the result! I used a technic nail polish in loganberry, which is the perfect colour!

I applied one coat on my nails and then a second one, after a few seconds, I simply rolled my nail into the tray so the fur could attach itself to the wet polish!
It didn't take too long to dry which I was happy about and didn't slide either!

       Finished result!

This photo doesn't do it justice! It stocks on great but you do have to tap off the excess to get it to how you want it!

I thought that after a few days that it was flake off slowly but it last me about 4/5 days! I couldn't believe it! I was a hit worried and thought that it would come off so easily with day to day jobs like cleaning and washing up but it stayed on really well!

Definitely a 5 star!!
Love this product so much I've gone out and got the other colours! :)

My faves for July!

I've been waiting to do this since I started my blog and I'm so glad I can post about this now! I've seen so many different bloggers do these types of posts and I love seeing what everyone else has brought and loved!

I've got quite a few products and items that I've loved this month but I've narrowed it down to 5!

I hope you all enjoy! :)

1) studded small clutch bag
2) MAC mineralise skin finish in medium/ dark
3) Aloe Vera bio active skin treatment
4) Batiste dry shampoo
5) MAC foundation brush no. 190

 Studded clutch bag (select, £10)

I love this bag! I've had it a few months now and almost every time in out with my girlfriends for drinks I take this bag! It looks quite small but I can actually fit quite a few things in there: my iPhone, keys, money and even lipgloss! There's a small pocket in there that is perfect for you money and there's even a long chain that connects so you can use it as a shoulder bag.
The design is a navy blue, sliver studded clutch with a skull on the opening inspired by Alexander McQueens trade make skull!

MAC mineralise skin finish, (MAC, £24)

I love this product! More me I used to think that every powder was the same but this product is so good! I tend to have an oily t-zone but this calms it right down and gives my face and makeup a really glowing and nice finish! They come in lots of different shades and the MAC artists are super helpful and lovely!

Aloe Vera skin treatment (Holland & Barratt £6.99)

I'm always looking for different products to help with my skin and this does it! I suffer from stretch marks (I know I'm not the only one) so I thought I'd put this into my top 5. I used this every day after my shower in the morning and then before I go to bed, I've been using this for a few months now and they are certainly fading! It doesn't leave a smell and its a clear gel that settles into your skin so beautifully and leaves your skin feel so soft and moisturised! Definitely a must buy if you suffer from dry skin or scarring!

Batiste dry shampoo, (Superdrug, £1.50)

I've always been a bit sceptical of dry shampoos becuase I've brought a few in the past and they haven't really done anything to my hair but I brought this really cheap and I love it, this is actually my second bottle! If I don't feel like washing my hair or I'm in a rush I just spray this on my hair and it looks great! It doesn't leave my hair dry or greasy! It's great and it comes in loads of different types and flavours!

MAC foundation brush, (MAC, £19.99)

I'm always hearing mixed reviews about MAC's brushes, some people saying they shread and other people saying their great! I was torn. So I decided to buy myself one that I knew I was going to use so it wasn't a waste of money! A foundation brush. I knew that it would come in handy as I'm always applying foundation whether its on myself or clients so it wasn't a total waste of money but I don't think I'd pay another £20 or so for another one. I love the way the bristles feel and they're shapes to be used not only on the face but under the eyes and around the nose which is perfect! It blends into the skin so well and it's so easy to clean i actually enjoy cleaning it! If you wanted a decent foundation brush then this is the one to get, if I'm grabbing a foundation brush I always go to this one!

Hope you all enjoyed this post and don't forget to follow me on Google friend connect, I follow back :) xoxo

What's in my bag?

Morning lovely people!

I'm so excited that my blog is now live! I cant wait to get started on all my posts and keep you all up to date with my latest beauty purchases and fashion choices! I've been scanning a few blogs for inspiration on my blogs and found so many interesting posts so I thought I'd start with one of my favourite posts I've seen called 'What's in my bag?' so I've decided that its going to be my first post!

My handbag has to be one of my favourite go-to pieces and completes any outfit, so I'm constantly looking out for new bags to buy! A girls handbag has to be every piece of fashion that holds everything and mine is no different! This morning when I was looking through my bag I found absolutely everything from hair grips to old chewing gum wrappers!
After throwing out the month old receipts and last years Nandos loyalty cards, I actually found a few things I thought I'd lost!

Id say I've got over 20 handbags and this has to be my go to handbag at the minute for whatever in doing! its big enough to hold my water, purse, keys an everything else I seem to throw in!
This shoulder bag is from Select one of my favourite shops for the summer! it was very affordable at only £10 its perfect for holding everything in! It's very comfortable with a faux leather brown and gold detailing padlock and gold rings to hold the handles. The lining is the same shade of brown with a thicker material, with 2 small pockets, its perfect for holding my phone (Iphone) and loose change.
The other side of the bag has a larger pocket with a zip where I keep my aray of lipsticks and glosses!
(see below)

After snapping away with my phone (I like taking pictures!) I remembered that I had a pile of products behind me that needed taking care of, so guess what? They're all listed below!
Ill also post a list below of all the products in my bag, prices and brands so check it out at the end of the blog! :)
